Rear tire, 6 punctures in 21 miles.

28psi rear. 26psi front. Tire seemed great for my shake out ride and then on race day six punctures in the same tire. Doesn’t seem like it could’ve just been coincidence but six punctures in 21 miles was a little excessive. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Tom,

So sorry to hear about this and we are surprised. This tire has had wonderful feedback. In fact, it was raced by Peter Stetina and Heather Jackson at The 2025 Traka Gravel Race in Spain with great feedback and no flats. This was a very technical course. Without seeing the tire, we cannot confirm the issues causing the flats. It may be the rim or??? but something is definitely going on. We will reach out to you via email to ensure we know what the problem is and find the best solution for you. Again, our apologies for your frustration.

Are these made in Japan like other models in the past? That's why I buy them.

Larry - Thanks for the 5 star review. These are made in our Vietnam factory.

I'll go first. I LOVE THESE TIRES

I have been running IRC's for various events for better part of 2 years. Running them on different wheel set ups as well. These 50's are amazing. For readers, I am 5'7, 154 lbs and running them at 19lbs. These are mounted on Berd Sparrow Wheels with an ID of 25mm. 50 is the largest tire i can mount on these wheels. Bike is an ENVE Mog and there is plenty of clearance. This set up for me is super fast on chip seal, gravel, sand, mixed. They corner on single track like crazy. Love these tires and so happy that IRC introduced them in the 50. I run the GClaws on my XC race bike too....super fast. These 50's feel and sound so good. If you can run a 50 tire, run these.
