Boken Doublecross 38

I purchased an IRC tire to replace the original on my Cannondale hybrid - which was punctured in vandalism in my building (otherwise tire was holding up great). I wanted to stay w/ the same brand and I chose based on size - there were only 2 avl - this one and Boken Plus. I chose this and decided to put it on the front and swap my older tire to the back (also inflation PSI max is lower on this one than my, now, rear tire). Super easy to mount and really great quality product. I ride mostly in the park, which is pavement w/ some loose gravel but not much, so I was a little hesitant about this tire for my purposes. Nonetheless, it holds the road really well - corners well, great on hills and leads to a really smooth, pleasant ride at higher or lower PSI. I appreciate the versatility. NOTE: I ride my bike for exercise, not competitions or serious rider. Also, GREAT customer service from IRC - responded right away when I was having a hitch in the ordering process, shipped super quickly (faster than promised at check-out) w/ nice little note. Thanks for the personal touch!

I decided to use IRC because it was the official tire of unbound this year. Man, it did not disappoint. I ordered the 38s, but after talking to Steve Driscoll I dropped my bike by their booth at the expo and he traded them out for the 42s. Had no tire trouble whatsoever. Tires rode smooth, held pressure and otherwise performed flawlessly. This will be my standard tire going forward.

The thickness of the sidewalls is visible and makes me feel more comfortable. I really appreciate the personal note on the invoice…. Nice touch! I’ll work with you guys again. Thanks!
